Fat loss and Diets - What Diet Plan is Best?


Fat diets come and go with fresh versions out every week. Many of them are big with promises and small on delivery. So exactly what is a person to do? I for one have spent lots of money on the latest greatest diet plans over the years.

If a friend tells me they've lost plenty of weight on a diet and says how great it truly is I try it, only to find myself bloated, fatigued, grumpy or hungry all of the time. Then another good friend will recommend a different diet and I'm immediately, ready to try that one too.


It seems what works well for someone, doesn't necessarily work for another. But short of spending a fortune for diet plans, how do you know what will work best for you?

Well for starters, you put your wallet away in addition to take a common sense approach to the problem. Basically, there are about three and only three diet versions out there. They have diverse names and different menu types, but they all fall into one of them three categories.

The Low Fat Diet regime. This would include most of your calorie counting eating plans, Weight Watchers, DASH and the Ornish diet. These meal plans reduce calories and the amount of fat you ingest; which is a very sound plan. But remember, there are simply three types of food - proteins, fats plus carbohydrates. When you reduce the fat in a diet, you must raise one or both of the other two types of foods. And because raising the amount of protein usually raises excessive fat level too, most low-fat diets are loaded with carbohydrates.

The Low Carbohydrate Diet. This specific diet would include diets such as the Atkins Diet as well as the South Beach Diet. These diets increase the degree of protein you take in and lower the carbohydrate food. But just like the Low Fat Diet, when you reduce the number of one type food from a diet, you are going to boost another. When you reduce the amount of carbohydrates in your diet, you always end up with more fat.



And the third type eating habits is something in between. We'll call it any T'ween diet. This type diet includes the Mediterranean and beyond Diet, the G. I. Diet (Glycemic List Diet), the Idiot Proof Diet and the Sector Diet. These diets reduce the amount of fat inside the diet and get rid of simple carbohydrates while exchanging them with fewer, but more complex carbohydrates.

And while it will be tempting to make a blanket statement that the T'ween eating plan would come closer to being the perfect diet for most people (and I do believe these diets are better for further dieters than the other two), not all dieters reply the same to all dieta 1000 calorias menu semanal pdf.
